Lots of wires
Alessandra is perfomring a heartbeat checkup. 24hours with a datalogger and some sensors. All this to have us satisfied that there is really nothing wrong with her heart.
Made a video of the scars on my left and right arm. Left arm first: 2 scars, on either side of my wrist (fractured radius- and ulna bone). Followed by the right arm (removed tumor). (.3gp format might require update of quicktime)

Took a while to post these x-rays. Was not satisfied with the scanning quality. Unfortunately did not succeed in getting better scans (the light of my scanner is not strong enough for these positive xray images). Both photos have left my wrist and hand flat on the xray table and on the right my hand is vertical. Left on each photo is the titanium plate with some holes in it, securing the top part of my radius bone. On the right part of each photo the screws (5 in total titanium as well) are visible, in order to secure that plate. Not visible to see is the thin titanium wire (or lasso) in order to secure a chipped off part of my ulna bone.

Had to wait 3 hrs (even with a marked appointment) for the medical test for my government illness fund. Previdencia easy (=facil) isn't that easy.
Returned from surgery. Spent one night in the hospital. All went well to plan.
Two scars richer. One big (8-9 cm) scar (inner size wrist) to give access to a titanium "distal radius plate". Picture of similar plate and x-ray of radius bone taken from: http://www.acumed.net/product-detail.php?productID=28. The plate is wrapped around the top of the bone in order to give it its strength back. On the outerside of my wrist another scar (4cm), which gave access to the broken part of the other bone (on left side of x-ray). With a titanium wire the little chipped off part was framed ("glued") to its original location.
A 3rd, possibly, damaged bone (first bone of one of the fingers) was (yet) left untouched. After the first 2 are healed completely a x-ray film will be made to determine if the location and angle of that bone have changed. (and maybe need to be corrected by surgery....)
What an experience. Lets see if I ever want to be on a bike again...

It's marked, the date for the churgery, 07:00 in the morning. Again in the Albert Einstein Hospital. The MRI images showed three fractures, pretty messy, especially the top of my radius bone. So the surgean has a though task. This week I will have a consult with him to know more (no idea if any metal parts are needed in order to restore my radius bone). Rather nervous, never broke a single bone so its my first time.

Went to the doctor. He took off the plaster to have more x-rays done. It showed that one little part of my wrist is about 25 degrees tilted and a one particle is "floating". That means churgery... next week I will be in the hospital again. Untill then I use a flexible stabilizer. Another MRI scan to have it all calrified even more is scheduled for tomorrow.
Broke something (x-ray shows a parallel crack) in my wrist during a fall with bicycle. First indication: 4-6 weeks with (left) arm in plaster. More news after my visit to my orthopedic doctor (yes, it seems I have one now, after i had surgery on my right arm ... sigh).
