I have requested an upgrade of my current ADSL connection. The cabling in the neighbourhood has (parcially) been updated, so maybe..... (but the chances are low :( )
Fast Hotel Internet link
Fast internet in the Hollywood-FL hotel. So my bittorrent client is doing overtime to get some of the latest movies rolling in :) Had one rolling in with 600kB/s just now, those are speeds unimaginable for my Brazil ADSL line.
New ES toys
As I have switched from Nokia Multimedia towards Nokia Enterprise Solutions my toys and daily used mobiles have changed as well. My already old E62 here shown next to the new E61i and E90. E90 has to be returned to its owner, but the E61i is mine :)
Widescreen 32''
With our new house we gained as well a bigger (read much bigger) living room. Our old 21" TV therefore was kind of small. With the LCD's and Plasma's of this world the price pressure of the conventional TV's is great and we could therefore purchase with a high bargain a 32" widescreen TV. Victoria loves to watch Nijntje and Helly Kitty of the big screen.
XBMC
This week my modded XBox (with the XBox Media Center = XBMC) arrived. Now it's a piece of cake to show mpg's and divx's to the wide screen we just installed in our living room. For now it's mp3-tagging time, in order to have as well all my mp3's played correctly.
GPS for in the car
GPS in the car and car navigation is getting more popular and popular every day here in Brazil. The best and most logical solution is of course purchasing a Nokia GPS module which connects to your mobile phone. But since not all of the target group have a phone which can do this, people buy those (see picture above) dedicated GPS navigators. The best one seems the left one, the one from QuattroRodas (Brazil branded MIO). But if you look further you can up as well with the cheaper brand on the right, Altina A600, which does exactly the same and is using the same maps and logic. Only this company does not spend so much money and effort on marketing, so they stay kind of unnoticed in the market.

With the GPS module and the newly released Nokia Maps application I get a perfect up to date map of the village where I was born. Here in the NL everybody has a TomTom, so I am finally catching up :)

Oh yeah, forgot to post this photo. A big nice Engesa jeep next to our small Fox. Later in my life if I am big and grown up I want to have a car like this... (says daddy Dolf)
